How much does it cost to join?
Membership dues are $20 annually. Dues are used to support member activities and volunteer efforts.
What types of events do you hold?
Events you can expect
to see on the calendar are dinners, social outings, sports outings, book club meetings, playgroups for members with kids, and group volunteer activities. Some past events include a cooking class, bowling night, wine tasting, Reds games, and serving dinner at the Ronald McDonald House.
How often do you hold events?
We usually have five to six events monthly, including book club, a dinner outing or social event, and two or three playgroup meetings. Board meetings are held quarterly and all members are welcome.
I don’t have children. Is this group just for spouses and partners with kids?
Some of our members have children, and some don’t. We try to plan a variety of events that will appeal to all our
members. We do plan some events for children.
Does RSA pay for events? I don’t have a lot of extra money to pay for meals
and tickets.
Generally, we are able to completely cover the cost for a member to attend an event. For some couples events we may ask that the non-member spouse or partner to pay a portion of the cost.
I’d love to attend events but my spouse is always working and I can’t afford a babysitter. Do you offer any help?
We have a babysitting stipend fund to help cover the costs of child care for a member whose spouse’s work schedule overlaps with an RSA event. The stipend is $15 per event, and the funds are distributed by request.
